Correction: if the sort of people you wanted to meet bummed cigarettes. Smoking a cigarette while sitting on a park bench, or at a cafe table, or while loitering is  like holding a sign while sitting on a park bench, or at a cafe table, or while loitering -- a sign that says "WILL TRADE CIGARETTES FOR AWKWARD CONVERSATIONS TRANSPARENTLY INITIATED FOR THE SAKE OF CIGARETTES."
